Bonaroo and the Bus

YEsterday Jack played at Bonaroo……..

Spencer and I got to go side stage with Jack and fam to watch BB King…. It was incredible to see live- even if he has to sit in a chair now:). What talent! After Jack, Pearl Jam played- and they were on fire! Some of those songs were a blast to the past! What incredible stage energy they have.

After the show, we (jack, kim, the kids, me, spencer, Jack’s pianist, wife and daughter, and a couple others) loaded onto our tour bus! (It was about midnight and the kids were still awake…talk about rockstars!) The bus is SO fun… there’s a “living room”…..

and the bunks…. three to a wall….. and then a bedroom in the back for Jack and family.

So, the bus took off at about 1 AM this morning. We all went to bed, and Spencer and I were the first one’s awake at 11:15!!!….. It’s SO dark in the sleeping area- so you have no idea what time it is. We were all awake and eating cereal as we pulled into Cedar Point, Ohio- Home to one of the best amusement parks and water parks combined. We are staying at the hotel that is right in the middle of them. So the bus stays parked in the parking lot, and we bring in whatever we want to the hotel. We spent the day running aroung the water park, and the evening on roller coasters. THere was a lighting storm that shut us down though- so we came in and watched the Laker’s win! We’re here another day and then we get back on the bus and head for Cleveland where our next show is.
