Casa dei Bambini

Maria Montessori called it a Children’s House. That was her idea of a little preschool. I like that.  And so I (with the help of my man and my parents and my kids) have created a Casa dei Bambini in our house!….  This house was screaming for a little preschool, and so we turned the screened in lanai into a little schoolhouse/ playroom. I have a few 2 & 3 year olds on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I’m blending the Montessori method with Waldorf and Reggio Emilio’s ideas and capping it off with lots of Emily love. I’m just a few weeks in, but excited for the potential and all that will come with it. It feels good to be doing some of the many pins I have pinned! and using the skills I have been gifted with.

Some of the fun elements are a nature area, an outdoor kitchen using recycled goods, an outdoor canvas that will be an ongoing mural to add to, making bread in the mornings for our snack time, and imaginative play. Oh what fun!
