We made it to la costa de El Salvador, only seeing one other white person along the way. It feels SO great to be back here…..And the Spanish is slowly but surely getting reacquainted with my mouth….But then again, it’s very nice to have someone fluent by my side :). It’s so fun for SPencer and I to be back here where it all started….eating beans and rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner, followed by a few cervezas, swimming, reading, writing, laying, swimming, surfing, and napping in beween. The people here are genuinely nice….everyone smiles at us (or maybe that’s because of Spencer’s blanco hair!!!) People are eager to give advice and help you when you ask- Apart from the people, it’s sooo cheap- it’s loco!
the little coastal town of Playa Zonte here we called home for a few days
2 dollar dinners for the both of us- 20 cent bus rides, and 10 dollar places to stay- for our private room con bano! La costa is gorgeous- the water warm, and all the beaches are black sand because of all the volcanoes nearby.
Nuestro tierra!!! (and yours, Kurt!!)
another vista from a closer lot
Many of you may know- but if not, SPencer and I are the proud owners of land here (we went in half-cees with one of Spencer’s good friends)!!!….en la costa, too!!….We went and visited it today, having never seen it….and we’re extremely stoked!!! It’s a small piece, but it’s a place to call our own if we need to 🙂
We may be heading to Guatemala in the next few days….it’s pretty tempting when we hear that it’s cheaper than here!! and there’s so many ruins to explore! I hope everyone is doing fabuloso…and I’d love to hear from each one of you- I promise if you write, I’ll write you back individually!!Amor a todo!
the road leading into the gated community!!……5 minute walk from the main main road
