Living Big.

A good friend had an epiphany this past weekend. “I’m not going to let any one or any thing come into my (or my childrens’ lives) that takes our power away or makes us feel powerless.”

Simple Definition of power

• : the ability or right to control people or things

• : a person or organization that has a lot of control and influence over other people or organizations

Check in with yourself and pay attention to people that make you feel powerless. When they walk away, do you feel depleted like you have given them all your power, even if they didn’t ask for it?

To me, power is made up of sacred energy. Which is unique to each of us. Power can be used in such beautiful, magical, loving ways. It can also be used where corruption, hate and evil lives.

Sometimes we can even be scared of our own power and L I G H T. Are you diminishing your own amazingness because of fear that it will disrupt your relationships? Your true friends will cheer you on as you let your light shine because they always saw it within you. Walk away from anyone that doesn’t want to receive your Light and Spirit and Powerful Love. Let your light shine from a place of integrity.

Where are you letting your energy/power leak? When do you feel filled up and more powerful (in a healthy, spiritually sound way?)

Do you use your power to uplift, guide, pave pathways of light and love for others and YOURSELF?

Or are you using it to manipulate, destroy, or make yourself feel better because of fear based thinking?

Check in and pay attention today.

Ask, pray, or meditate on being guided to using your power in ways that are aligned with Spirit/ God. And that are guided with love. And take it a step further, and ask that you notice when someone else is using their power to steal yours. And then to have the courage to walk away from that person or thing.

Poet David White wrote, “Anything or anyone that does not bring you alive is too small for you.”

And so as my 38th time around the sun begins… I feel grateful to witness others’ epiphanies of their Beauty within vulnerability, their Power within pain, their Spirit within chaos, their Joy within anger, their amazingness within hard times. And I’m feeling very inspired to live big; making ripples with conscious intentions…..aligned with pure, loving power.
