So I almost want to begin by saying that there’s something wrong with these pictures!…… There are ENDLESS coves exactly like this one- with NO ONE in sight! I didn’t go in the water for awhile, thinking that maybe this was like a high tiburon (shark) area…..But no- I guess Tico’s have too many other things to do- like pick oranges and mangoes, or lay in the hammock, or chat to their neighbors across the street….or maybe watch the rice and beans on the stove.Spencer and I are slowly getting used to this life- maybe a little toooo used to it! 🙂 We’re staying with the Tico family that I stayed with when I came to language school here, and after I left Spencer became very close with them. So we decided to stop by for awhile (on our 4 year anniversary!!!) and rekindle the magical TIcan days! and well spent they are! As I mentioned, lots of laziness to put it a bit more straightforward. And the heat- WOW!! I seemed forget about the heat in potrero. From 2 until 5ish- oh mis rios!! Literally- all you can do is lay in the hammock and wait for a breeze. And while laying there, eat sandia and naranjas. I can’t even seem to read. Being that our afternoons are spent relaxing- we try to keep busy in the mornings….. stroll (strenuously) along the beaches and play in the water, shell hunt, and read and write. This past week we took a mini vacation 2 hours south to Playa Guiones/ Nosara to scope out some sites for the big boda! (wedding). It seems that the stars were aligned and the moon was in our favor- We found a charming (and we feel perfect) place! …Hopefully you’ll get to see it in less than a year!! Spencer seems to have made quite an impression on that little town cause everyone was more than excited to see him back. We were able to scope out many of the “places to stay”- and we are very excited to help you or answer any questions- Please please please email if you have any questions!! and we really do emphasize trying to make your reservations within the next month or so- Places are already getting full….and we can understand why-I forgot how much I love that place……the town had such a good vibe- friendly locals, tranquilo tourists, and people cruisin on bikes…..And of course- the beach is the main hoopla- And it deserves all that it gets- Sooo gorgeous—– we went for a run on it in the morning, stretched, and then spencer even got me out on a board!…I caught two waves:) woohooo!Needless to say, we’re extremely looking forward to 11 months from now!!We’re back here in Potrero, trying to soak it all in…..the orange juice, that is!Love and miss each one of you!!besos & abrazos…emily
