Mikey’s My Dad

From Em — Well, we left Montana and ventured into Idaho….. for camping, floating in tubes down a river, mountain biking, hiking, bocce ball, and yesterday we got a tour of the very place where I was born- Moscow, Idaho. The University of Idaho is here- as well as a restaurant that my dad opened when I was 2, called “Mikey’s Gyros” It’s still here- and it’s the happening place, “Where Smart People Meet.” So fun!! We’re heading there for lunch today- we’ll see if they have a “vegan” version of a gyro!……yeh right!….. Spencer’s off on some bike ride to the top of the local mountain right now, preparing his body for one of the most difficult backpacking trips that he’s going to do in a week with a few friends of ours from around here. The past few days have been spent camping on the Selway river. It’s been so fun to see old family friends that practically raised me, and to be living outside in a tent- During a full moon!!
