A letter I wrote to my Grandpa and his wife…

Spencer (whom I met in Costa RIca, about 3 years ago) graduated college (from James Madison University in Virginia) and moved out here last June. We’ve been living together out here on the North Shore of Oahu together- really enjoying eachother’s company. He’s my best friend- and it’s so fun to go on bike rides and walks together. The community that we live in is pretty small and there’s not a lot around. We have a grocery store and gas station. Other than that- not much else! There is a bike path that goes for about 7 miles through beautiful tropical trees and flowers- It’s SO great to have. We’re living in a little cottage right on the beach, taking care of the yard, etc. Right out front of the house is a gorgeous white sand beach with a really nice surf break. Spencer loves to surf, and REALLY loves that he can walk out to go surf in less than a minute. I would like to learn how to surf- but during the winter the waves are too big out here- SO that may be my goal this summer!
