Pretty Much Sums It Up

The three key ingredients to our daily lives right now……

We start out our mornings with the wonderful, incredible, AMAZING Blendtec. The kids get different types of warm grain cereals blended up in there- oats or millet or quinoa with hemp seeds, cinnamon, ginger, raisins, coconut and a little almond milk and banana if they’re lucky.  Then Spencer and I make our concoction of a green drink to get ourselves all revved up. And I say “revved up” because I tend to always over due it on the cayenne. But I’m kinda becoming addicted because I just feel so dang good from it. We have been doing carrot, celery, kale, spinach, parsley, lemon, ginger, cayenne. And if I’m feeling nice I’ll put an apple. ANd some mornings we’ll put some sunflower seeds and/or avocado in there…. The mix is always changing. But that is pretty standard. The Blendtec is seriously incredible. I also put in some ice so it’s cold. This blender is  so fun….it has a specific setting  for juice- so I just push a number- and it knows how long and what speed. Anyways….. that’s key ingredient numero uno for our mornings.

Then we move on to the next best thing. I usually wait until 9 AM. That is because 9 AM is when Deia goes down for her 1st nap, and I set Gavin up with the iphone, some new found “toys” (like balloons or straws or something really new), or even a Netflix. And this means that I get an hour. So it’s the perfect time to use my new cappuccino maker that I got for my birthday. I’m still learning  that’s for sure. BUT…it is so fun and DELISH!! And I can actually sit down and enjoy it for a few minutes if I wait until 9.

And last, but not least….. the handy dandy rice cooker. I get rice or quinoa in this during afternoon nap time, and veggies cut and in the steamer basket….. then I hit the delay timer button on it- so that when we get back from the beach at around 6/ 6:30 there is a fresh grain and steamed veggies ready to be eaten. Nothing too exciting….but it does the trick- and from there we can either get creative or just eat that with some different seasonings or sauces.

On my 30th birthday I got an all terrain stroller. On my 33rd birthday I asked for appliances…. I wonder what I will want on my 36th birthday?!
