(un)living situation

Here’s part of an email I wrote to Spencer right after we found out that we had to move out of our house on the North Shore. It was October and the ASP World Tour was about to show up, which means it is next to impossible to find a place to stay (or live). We have two weeks to find a new spot.
Isn’t this whole experience humbling in a way? I think that I needed this to happen- I needed for our life to get shaken a little- or a lot (it IS our living situation) …and to put more faith and trust out into the wind and water and earth….there’s so much to this life- so much that is not in our control. Well, indirectly at least. ANd it’s good to have something taken out from underneath you- so that everything will stand before you- and you’re asked to appreciate all the small things once again….How could I daily forget to appreciate our surroundings and where we WE WE (US!!) are living? how freaking lucky we are!!! Yes- this is going to have such a god ending for us, because we are staying so positive- and trusting- and staying open to learn more about life and ourselves….
