I couldn’t bare to write “Shit” Show as the title to this new post….but that’s what it was, People! So I thought I would do a new post regarding “A Day in the LIfe” of the Kleins. But I think “15 minutes in the life of” would be more appropriate for this last week….cause I’m sure it will just leave you wanting more.

The other night Gavin got sick. Like vomiting sick. At La Dolce Vita Restaurant.  That’s a whole other story in itself:)….. So fast forward to the next morning. Spencer and I wake up to the realization that we need to clean up the vomit from the night before. (Needless to say, we didn’t sleep because we were up caring for our sick child). So we begin to make piles of laundry and boil water (Because we don’t have hot water at our house right now).

Deia wakes up.

I decide to change her diaper, and I put her in the middle of the bed to let her “air out” and kick her legs freely and roll around.

Spencer and I are cleaning up the other things in the house while keeping Gavin in quarantine.

A few minutes go by and I walk in to check on Deia.

Apparently, she had pooped (reminder: she is 3 months old and has newborn RUNNY poop….which many of you might know…and if you don’t, well….you will one day and you can think of me and this moment). AND….she had been rolling around in it, kicking, playing. All over the bed. Another reminder: NO diaper was on her.  Okay.

(This is one of those MOMENTS) do I cry, scream, laugh, or sit down and have a drink?!)

Luckily Spencer didn’t have to leave for 2 minutes. great.

I begin to boil more water to start a bath for Deia. And Gavin. In our JUNGLE bathtub outside.

And I am cleaning up the bed and sheets and well….you can probably imagine.

Then Gavin says from the other room, “Mama, why is there poop on the floor in here?”

And I realize that her poop sprayed from the bed to the floor (in the other room), and I had been walking around in it with my shoes on….all over the house.

The phone rings and Spencer’s ride is here and he leaves me with a kiss and a hug of strength and compassion.

That all was between 6:45-7 AM, People.
