Yes, Carma with a “C.” That’s our mail-woman. And she usually comes every morning before 9. And we usually can hear her mail truck, and Gavin screams, “MAAAAIIIIIILLLLL” and then we get up from the breakfast table and ruuuuunnnnnn out through the house and to the mailbox. This is just one of the biggest and best parts of being “Home.” You see, we didn’t have a mailbox in Nosara, and we couldn’t really send things out either. So it’s incredibly exciting for all of us to get mail. And send things out! If only I would have bought a few Forever stamp booklets back when they were 32cents. Damn!
Well, between grandparents and a few other fairy godmothers, Gavin gets something almost every day in the mail. Yesterday he got this from his Lucky. Well, her name is really Lexi, and he’s our cousin. But she sends the most creative things in the mail to him and they usually get me at least 30 minutes of free time!:) Well, this one was particularly beautiful and cute. She recycled one of those annoying envelopes that you get in all your bills. And used bright red tape on it, with a nice note on the outside that read “Gavin, your Mama and Papa might want you to open this outside.” So out we went and good thing! Twinkle twinkle GLITTER!….. but how fun and magical for a 3 year old. And a special note that read, “Gavin go outside and find your favorite start tonight.” How simple and fun. I love these photos. Pure joy and magic in a childhood.
