A month ago, I decided to try a month of no social media. I was completely unaware of how impactful it was going to be. I actually got creative, I wrote, I read real paper books, I meditated every morning, I had more mental space. But mostly it was how I FELT. How I FEEL.
I feel less weighty, I feel more present.
I feel more joyful. I feel more clarity. I feel more insightful and in tune with ME. I feel less anxious. I feel more aligned with myself and Spirit. I feel more grounded. I feel more connected to the people I’m close with, especially my kids. I feel more aligned with my path. I feel more excited and inspired! I feel like I came home.. to me!
I don’t necessarily think that going off social media is the key to a happy life, or going to cure everything. Nor am I saying I’m not going to go back on. I just needed a little mental cleanse, and to get back in balance with ME. I just read this on http://www.mysticmamma.com, and for me it applied to my lack of social media the last month.
“It is time to consciously remember that others do not define us…
“It is time to take full responsibility for who we areand how we are, and unplug from the cords we havestuck into others and had others stick into us.
“It is time to unplug from the projectionswe have thrown onto others, and had thrown onto us.
“There are a lot of emotions, and there’s lot of energy, flying around the place right now, and it willbecome increasingly important to not get hooked inor distracted by that which doesn’t belong to you,or by that which isn’t even real (ie old projections or illusions).
“We can’t know how to make things right, unlesswe become totally aware of where we’ve gone wrong.
“We can’t step fully into our power, unless we become fully awareof exactly how and where we have been disempowered…”
“As you witness that which you don’t like being revealed, use it as a catalyst for reminding you what it isyou would like, what it is you would prefer.
“Find some small way to move toward that preferencebe it changing the way you think or act.
“Every single thing that we each do or don’t do right nowwill determine the kind of world we create with thisonce in many lifetimes opportunity to create a very new reality.
“We are each one part of a huge 7 billion piece jigsaw puzzle.Your piece counts. Your piece matters.”
