We got a wonderful and HELPFUL 2 1/2 week visit from my parents. When Gavin first started talking he couldn’t say Grandma and Grandpa….and the words that came out were Manga (for Grandma) and Vaca (for Grandpa). This went on for about a year. And the classic part was that we were living in Costa Rica where mostly everyone speaks, um, Spanish. And manga means Big Mango. And vaca is Cow. So here was this little guy running around saying “Big Mango come here!!” and “Cow, can you push me on the swing?!”
Anyways- Manga and Vaca came to our home in Hawaii and have been so helpful. Among the things that we’ve accomplished while they have been here are: Pictures hung, shelves up, a flower/butterfly garden planted, a new couch, more shelves up, boxes unpacked, a new creative zone for me, a classroom completed, seating outside, and all their good energy showered amongst the house! Oh, and lots of good food:).
Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!
