But it did not start off so fun. It was just “one of those hours” when everything was wrong and nothing was right. And it took MANY deep breaths and moments of silence and lots of grounding and surrendering and prayers for laughter and patience. I never did like the “terrible” part of the twos. But what is the not so sweet side of the threes called? Throw me out to sea, Three? Thought you had this down, Three? HAH! Oh, Gavin….I am so compassionate for what you been through the past few months. I know you’ve been on quite the ride (as well as been to lots of cool places and seen lots of lovely people)…..but I know it takes its tole on you. And I know that you are more than ready (even if you don’t know it) to get settled and into a rhythm. We all are. I promise it is going to happen soon. Until then, patience my dear. And no more whiney, crying, dramatic Sunday Fundays ok?

He must have heard my prayer because once we stepped foot out of the door he turned it all around. Sometimes that’s all any of us need….a change of scenery and some fresh air. And there is nothing in the world like these sweet smelling Hawaiian Trade Winds. Combine that with the blue green ocean, papaya picked off a tree, PB&Banana’s, and some family time and we are doin good!
