Damn, Gina!

Ever feel the urge to do something, but there’s this “something” (you can’t quite name) that keeps holding you back—over and over? I’ve got the vision. I’ve got the inspiration. I’ve got the time. I’ve got the ideas. But then… I distract myself with consumption. I chase dopamine hits, scroll through everyone else’s amazing posts, writing, videos, inspiration… I get the rush, but I don’t actually do my own thing. I convince myself the timing isn’t right, or I’m not fully feeling it.

Part of my rhythm is living in tune with where the moon is in the sky. Yesterday and today, the moon is in Aries. What does that mean? It’s a perfect time to tap into Aries energy. We all have it in our charts, and we can all access it. Sometimes it’s easier; sometimes it’s harder. Yesterday, I used a lot of my Aries energy to kick off the preschool year—starting fresh, helping kids feel courageous.

This morning, I woke up early with a burst of energy and a slightly unsettled stomach—craving movement. I worked out to get the fire moving and feel grounded, then followed with breathwork to release that extra fire. During meditation, I asked myself:

What’s holding me back from expressing myself, writing, creating?

The answer hit hard: over-consumption. Stop distracting yourself by soaking up everyone else’s stuff. I realized I’ve been letting the inspiration of others keep me content—almost tricking myself into thinking I was moving forward, when I wasn’t actually creating anything.

So before preschool, I just… started writing. No overthinking. No waiting for the “right” words. (Julia Cameron calls this the beauty of Morning Pages in The Artist’s Way.) And here we are—this honesty is exactly what I needed to get out.

This is Aries energy—ignite the fire! Be the firestarter. Don’t wait. Be bold. Take the first step, even if the destination is unclear. Be messy. Just go for it. Be courageous. Open the channel and let your creations out.

Everyone starts somewhere. Every artist is messy and vulnerable at the beginning. There’s always a first step.

Action Points

This moon is perfect for taking one step toward your goal or dream. Make the phone call. Apply for the job. Hit send. Try something new.

Health Flow

Check in with your brain, eyes, head, and face. Move your body to get the fire moving, use breathwork, and ground yourself. Every healthy fire needs balance—earth, air, and sometimes water.

Fashion Vibe

What clothes or jewelry make you feel bold? Play with reds, oranges, and magentas—colors that channel Aries courage.

Journal Prompts

  • What are my needs, and what can I do to meet them?

  • What’s something I’m scared of right now? Why? How can I turn that fear into courage or love?

  • For my current goals and dreams, what’s one action I can take today to move closer?
